The snag in the overhead equipment of the K10 local was detected around 7:13am as it was approaching Mumbra station. The technical staff was summoned to attend the stranded local. Services on the Up slow line to Mumbai had to be suspended between Mumbra and Thane and other services were diverted on the fast line from Diwa to Mulund for over an hour. This resulted in over crowding at Kalwa and Mumbra stations.
The snag was rectified by 8:15am following which the line was cleared but services were running late for over 30 minutes during peak hours.
