The accused identified as Anil Desai, he is resident of Saki Naka area in Andheri and work as beggar.
The police said on Sunday at 9.30 am victim kid Deewan Gaud who stays in Raj Niketan building in Shahad area near Kalyan was playing inside his building compound, ?when accused Desai came over there and tried to kidnap kid by taking him but at same time victim's mother who stays on first floor of apartment saw accused taking her kid and she came below the building and with help of locals caught accused.
The locals later manhandled accused when he do not given proper answer about why he was taking kid and handed him to local Mahatma Phule police station.? The police have booked accused under kidnapping charges. "The primary probe suggest accused could be part of any begging racket who after kidnapping kids forced them in to begging but further probe is on" said Vijay Bhise, Police Inspector of Mahatma Phule police station.
