MUMBAI: PM Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat' campaign is drawing participation from public and private organisations from Haryana and Maharashtra which have each taken a step forward in Mumbai.

Dera Sachcha Sauda, a Haryana-based controversial religious and social organisation, will initiate a cleanliness drive in Bandra-Kurla Complex on Tuesday morning. Its founder Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh will wield the broom at MMRDA grounds with volunteers from the state. Dera spokesman Aditya said, "We will plunge into sewers and drains to clean them...."

Besides, Food Corporation of India, a central government body, has adopted the Swachh Bharat movement across Maharashtra. In Mumbai, employees from its Borivli office took the pledge of cleanliness.
