MUMBAI: The Central Railway officials have rectified the overhead wire problem between Mumbai CST and Masjid stations, but train services are still affected.

Sources said that the megablocks on the Main and Harbour lines have further inconvenienced commuters. There is a huge rush at most stations and trains are running at least 20 minutes behind schedule.

Long distance trains were rescheduled and some of them ran three hours late, inconveniencing passengers.

Said CR spokesperson A K Singh : "The OHE breakdown had occurred between Masjid and CST from 6.51. The Down slow line services were diverted on Down fast line between CST and Byculla and Up fast line services were diverted on Up slow line between Byculla and CST from 6.51 am to 10.36 am. Due to this three services were cancelled and suburban trains are running 20 to 25 minutes behind schedule."
