MUMBAI: Two Nepali guards were recently arrested in connection with a Rs 2.7-lakh burglary at a Kandivli flat. Main accused Prakash Giri, who is on the run, used to work as a guard in the building. While Prakash and his brother Krishna are yet to be traced, their aides Vinod and Prem Saha have been arrested.

All four were watchmen in different buildings. The burglary took place in the ground-floor flat of Bharat Jethmalani while he was away in Singapore with his family last month. "The Jethmalanis live in Jai Dwarka building and Prakash knew about their vacation," investigating officer N Gije said. Around 2 am on April 27, the gang entered the flat by cutting open the window grilles and fled with gold, silver and cash, worth Rs 2.7 lakh.
