The victim advocate went along with his female client to the Andheri police station to help her to record her statement. There was a written complain against her at the police station and she was called for the questioning. The female and her advocate was unaware about the complaint details.
The victim advocate was assisting his client while she was trying to understand the complaint details when a female police officer asked the advocate to wait outside.
They argued over the issue after which the constable slapped the advocate. The advocate tried to warn constable for his aggressive behaviour when latter slapped earlier again. The advocate called his colleagues at the police station after the incident and they demanded CCTV footage of the station house and requested the police to register the FIR.
On Wednesday evening, Andheri court advocates protested at the court premises against the police.
They demanded that the police should register an FIR in the incident and suspend the constable immediately. The senior officers assured them action in the incident after inquiring the details.
