MUMBAI: The Bombay HC has allowed New Year's eve parties to continue till 5am to usher in 2014. The HC came to the rescue of party revelers and more than 8,000 small hotels and restaurants as it set aside the dictat of the Mumbai police which placed a 1.30am curfew on December 31st partying.
"What's the logic?" Vacation judge Justice Gautam Patel asked. He said, "in my opinion no valid reason to clamp down on what little is left of this city's once thriving social and night life."
