BMC chief, Raveena Tandon to launch Indian Dog Adoption campaign

MUMBAI: Actor Raveena Tandon along with the civic chief Sitaram Kunte of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will on Thursday launch the Indian Dog Adoption campaign of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) at the BMC Standing Committee Hall in the afternoon.

PETA had always been encouraging people to adopt 'desi' Indian dogs, since the foreign breeds have a host of health related ailments in the Indian climate,'' said a PETA activist.

Several animal rights NGOs have also campaigned for the adoption of Indian dogs and cats, as they make for good and healthy pets.
