According to the police, the girl's parents had called the accused doctor to their residence on Wednesday evening in order to medically examine their minor daughter who was suffering from abdominal pain.
Purty reportedly asked the parents to go to another room, and then touched the girl inappropriately. The minor immediately raised an alarm and told her parents, who then telephoned the police.
After questioning the accused doctor, the police officials arrested Purty under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
